New Westminster is easy to reach no matter how you choose to travel. Situated within 20 miles are the International border, the Tsawwassen Ferry terminal, passenger rail stations, and the Vancouver International Airport. Whether by land, by sea, or by air, New Westminster is your central destination on BC’s West Coast.
If you’re driving, simply get onto the Trans-Canada Hwy/BC-1 Eastbound. Follow the highway until the Brunette Avenue exit, take that and keep right at the fork. This will take you onto E Columbia St, continue along that and you will find yourself in the heart of downtown New West.
If you are coming from the Airport (YVR), catch the Canada Line train going to Waterfront Station. From there, simply switch trains to the Expo Line. Ride the train for about twenty minutes, and you will arrive in the Royal City. New Westminster has 5 Skytrain stops throughout the city, New Westminster Station being the central location.
Take the I-5 North to the Canadian border. After crossing, continue onto BC-99 North until you hit Exit 16 for BC-91 North, Delta/New Westminster. Finally, take exit 11 toward BC-91A, which will take you right into New West.
