Arts Council Gallery in Queen's Park
The New Westminster Arts Council's gallery is located in the picturesque heart of Queen Park, in the annex of Centennial Lodge. The gallery exhibits works by individual emerging and established artists February through November, and by local crafts people during the Arts and Crafts Fair in December. Works are available for sale. Closed Mondays (except for December -- Open every day 1 to 5pm. Closed for Remembrance Day). The Van Dop Gallery is a new art experience. The Van Dop Gallery features a world of contemporary fine arts and crafts. A wonderful complement to the Art Gallery in the Park is the Gallery in the city's public library, across from Royal City Centre in Uptown New Westminster. The gallery, on the library's second floor, features exhibitions by local artists in a wide range of styles, from photographs to watercolours, sculpture to oils. The Library and Gallery are open Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m.
The Amelia Douglas Gallery, located on the 4th floor of Douglas College, features exhibitions by local artists and from the college's collection.
